Lighting systems - interconnection

Enjoy the implementation of Christmas lighting to the maximum. With our systems, it's simple, fast and as safe as possible.

The main advantage of our lighting systems is the quality workmanship and the variability of the individual components. Thanks to the wide range of elements that can be combined with each other, there is a solution for every space. Light chains, stalactites and decors from each product range can be combined freely to create lighting exactly to your liking.

In addition to the beautiful lighting effect, LED Christmas lighting is also a great energy saver. One hundred metres of decoLED light chain consumes the same amount of energy as one classic 70W bulb.

You don't even have to worry about the complicated assembly of the Christmas lights, everything can be easily connected using screw connectors. Thanks to the wide range of accessories, even more complex lights can be lit from a single socket.

In the table below you will find a basic breakdown of our Christmas lighting range. The Easy FIX and Eco FIX ranges are professional systems designed primarily for the lighting of outdoor Christmas trees, houses and public buildings, and we use them to decorate towns, villages and shopping centres. In the Hobby Line you will find products for indoor and outdoor use, we recommend the light chains from this series for smaller Christmas trees.

1.

We do not automatically supply a power cord for interconnectable systems. You can light a house, a tree, a pergola or even a garage from one socket and only need one source. The power cord must therefore be ordered when you first purchase your Christmas lights, and for subsequent orders you only need the individual light components to complete the order.

2. Are the connectors included in the product?

Yes, all products in the above model series are finished with connectors, male on one side and female on the other. The individual components can thus be easily connected to other components using these connectors. The screw connectors are waterproof, and we use shrink-wraps as double protection on all connections, which are sealed over the connectors with a heat gun or hairdryer.

3. Can I replace individual LEDs?

It is not possible to replace individual LEDs. Each LED is encased in a polycarbonate cap to protect it from damage. This way of manufacturing minimizes the possibility of mechanical damage to the LEDs and at the same time maximizes the resistance to adverse weather conditions such as snow, frost or sunlight.

4. What is the difference between IP44 and IP67?

The ingress protection rating, or IP, indicates the resistance of electrical equipment to the ingress of foreign bodies and liquids, especially water. In general, this means that the higher the number after the letters IP, the greater the protection. However, in both cases, the systems are suitable for outdoor use.

5. Are all EasyFIX connectors the same?

In 2019, we have upgraded our range of professional lighting systems and started using connectors with IP67 protection.Due to the higher IP, the connectors of the Easy FIX system are adapted slightly differently than the original ones, so they cannot be interconnected. If you already have some of our Easy FIX light chains or stalactites at home and need to purchase additional pieces to complete your decor, you have nothing to worry about. We have reducers in our range for interconnecting connectors with different IP. The reducer is actually a short cable with an IP44 connector on one side and an IP67 connector on the other. To choose the right reducer, you should always proceed in the direction of the current, i.e. from the source.

6. How do I know EasyFIX systems with IP67?

For all products, the IP is indicated in the parameters and product description. The code is another guide to selecting the correct product. The code designation remains the same as it was before, with the only difference that we have added the letter X to the designation for all new products with higher protection. All lighting components and accessories are marked in this way.

7. How to choose the right EasyFIX reducer?

To select the correct reducer, you should always proceed in the direction of the current, i.e. from the source. If we need to connect a newly purchased IP67 chain to an existing system, we use a reduction from IP44 to IP67. On the other hand, if we need to connect a newly purchased IP67 source cable to an Easy FIX light system that we have had at home for some time, we use the IP67 to IP44 reduction. The reducers are available in both black and white cable.
